Althought there are many things that will maximize the life of your NiMH rechargeable batteies we have listed the most important below:

1. Never drop NiMH rechargeable batteries on a floor or hard surface. This can severly damage them.

2. Be sure to use a well designed charger that will prevent overcharging . This is probably the biggest cause of premature failure of NiMH rechargeable batteries - improper and over charging. Fastest is not always the best.

3. Never carry NiMH rechargeable batteries loosely in your pocket. Coins, or other metal items could cause them to short, thus causing severe burns, or even a fire.

4. Never store your rechargeable batteries at temperatures which exceed 85 degrees for any extended periods of time.

5. Always store your rechargeable batteries in a charged state. It is necessary to charge your rechargeable batteries on a regular basis, regardless whether you use them or not. We normally recommend charging NiMH rechargeable batteries at least every 30 to 45 days. This will keep your rechargeable batteries active and capable of powering your equipment.
